Disclaimer

Last updated · 04 May 2026

This page sets out the terms on which the surekhaqorlex.com website is made available. By accessing this site, you have already acknowledged the brief notice presented on first visit. What follows is the full version of that notice, together with related provisions on legal advice, attorney–client relationships, liability, and governing law.

Bar Council of India

Solicitation and advertising

The legal profession in India is governed by the Bar Council of India (“BCI”), and Rule 36 of the BCI Rules (Chapter II, Part VI) prohibits advocates from soliciting work or advertising, directly or indirectly, through any medium, including websites.

We publish this website in compliance with that prohibition. Nothing on this site is intended as advertisement, solicitation, invitation, or inducement of any kind to procure professional engagement. The information here is made available solely at your specific request, for informational purposes.

By proceeding past the disclaimer interstitial presented on first visit, you have acknowledged that no advertisement, personal communication, solicitation, or inducement has been made by Surekha QorLex Corporate Legal LLP or any of its members.

No attorney–client relationship

Accessing or browsing this website does not create an attorney–client relationship between you and Surekha QorLex Corporate Legal LLP. Such a relationship is established only through a formal engagement: an engagement letter, retainer arrangement, or similar written instrument executed by both parties.

Until an engagement is in place, no communication you send through this website (including via the contact form) should be assumed to be confidential or privileged. We recommend against sharing sensitive or time-sensitive information through the contact form. Instead, arrange a direct conversation once an engagement is being considered.

Information is not legal advice

The content on this website is intended as general information about the firm. This includes descriptions of our practice areas, engagement models, founder biography, and any insights or articles published here. It is not legal advice and should not be relied upon as such.

Legal questions turn on specific facts and circumstances. If you face a legal issue, obtain independent legal advice from a qualified advocate who can consider the particulars of your situation.

Limitation of liability

Surekha QorLex Corporate Legal LLP, its founder, and its members are not liable for any loss, damage, claim, expense, cost, or liability of any nature arising from access to, use of, reliance on, or inability to use this website or any content within it.

This limitation applies to all categories of loss (direct, indirect, incidental, and consequential), whether in contract, tort, or otherwise.

Governing law and dispute resolution

This website, this disclaimer, and any matter arising from access to the site are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or in connection with this disclaimer or the use of this website shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, as amended. The seat of arbitration shall be Bengaluru, Karnataka, the language of arbitration shall be English, and the tribunal shall consist of a sole arbitrator.

The courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka retain supervisory jurisdiction over the arbitration, and exclusive jurisdiction over any matter not capable of resolution by arbitration.

The professional conduct of the firm and its members is additionally governed by the Bar Council of India Rules, the Advocates Act, 1961, and other rules and regulations applicable to advocates practising in India.
